Are the Doc For a Day doctors licensed, insured and experienced?

Yes. All of our chiropractors are professional independent contractors that put a lot of care into their work. They appreciate the opportunity to assist you with coverage and meet your adjusting practices. All of our docs have at least 3 years of adjusting experience and carry their own malpractice insurance. Background checks and screenings are completed with each candidate.

What is the advantage of hiring a Doc For a Day versus closing my office?

Bring one of our experienced professionals in for the day will allow you to continue to generate income while your away. Your patients will stay on their treatment schedules and appreciate your commitment to there chiropractic needs.

What are your fees?

Our temporary coverage offers half day and full day rates. The fee depends on a few factors:

  1. The length of the coverage.

  2. The hours we are covering for the day.

  3. Your location.

  4. The amount of notice for the request.

How much notice do you need to hire a Doc For A Day?

We prefer 8-12 weeks or as soon as possible when reserving for vacations, maternity leave coverage or upcoming surgeries. Securing earlier allows you to request a preferred doctor also it allows time for the doctor to come to your practice ahead of time to understand your processes.

We understand that short notice needs come up and we are available by text or email 7 days/week. We can make arrangements within 24 hours depending on our chiropractor availability at the time.

If we are using Doc For a Day for the first time, can I meet the doctor before they fill in?

Great question. Depending on the timing of the coverage and the distance of the coverage, there are some options:

  • Set up a telephone consultation. (Facetime option)

  • Arrive extra early to review processes with your team.

  • Travel to you practice for a walk through of the office, staff & processes. (Less than 60 minutes. A travel fee may be applied if the commute is over 60 minutes.)

  • Schedule a half day training or shadow (5 hrs or less. A half day fee will be applied)

Who pays the doctor that fills in for the day?

Doc for a Day pulls together all the details of the coverage agreement including paying the contractor for their time.

When and how do I pay for the services?

There is not a payment due until we have secured a doctor for coverage. From there you will receive a service agreement to confirm the coverage. At that time a down payment will be owed. For your convenience you can pay by credit card, ACH transfer or by check.
